the long awaited epistle

Holy hannah-it is high time that I update this thing. There have been SO many things going on in the last couple months that I got sucked in to it all and forgot about documenting it!

So here it is...  the long awaited epistle

Last semester was CRAZY. Besides being a mommy I had 3 classes-the homework associated with that too-obviously, I was being trained for a little 5K (My first ever by the way), had church callings, was FULL-TIME managing an apartment complex, and had a stay at home online job to bring in a little extra mulla for the fam. I can happily say that after a 3 week, long awaited, break in Canada with my mom and sister- we have moved to a new place with 72 LESS tenants to look after, no classes to worry about, a new calling and no stay at home job!
 HALLELUJAH!

I am happily a stay at home mommy with a lot more time on my hands to come up with fun things to do with my new ONE year old!!!

Now, to the next topic. My new 1 year old! I remember some birthdays I had growing up and my absolute favorites are the ones with my family and the traditions that we had at our house. I had contemplated a big party for Indie with all the bells and whistles, but besides being totally overwhelmed by the endless possibilities and the high likely-hood of her not being able to remember any of it- we decided on a quieter day. It ended up being just that. My plans to get a couple helium balloons were squashed by the 'helium shortage' throughout Idaho. Not a single store in Rexburg or Idaho Falls had helium! Then, my plan to decorate was thwarted by my lack of planning earlier and not having the car and then lastly- my little buddy had a fever and was trying to cut a tooth all day! Which resulted in much cuddling while watching Tangled and spoiling her with her bottle in which she is being weened.

With a couple close family members to share dinner with we ended the perfect day. I couldn't have been happier to sit all day with my favorite little girl and cuddle

Which leads to my next little paragraph. I wish you could all meet her because she is to die for
Indie is not like any other little kids her age.

  • She is SUPER social and is jabbering constantly and when I say constantly, I mean she doesn't stop talking until the minute she falls asleep and it starts right back up as soon as she wakes up. That is my alarm clock in the morning...little Indie in her crib telling the world about her dreams.
  • She is intensely curious and it doesn't matter who is around she will go anywhere and everywhere to make sure she discovers everything in the room-while her friends are sitting quietly with their parents, eating or playing with a toy.
  • She has a very distinct personality and will do things when she is ready (I think she gets that from me)-she still only has her 2 bottom teeth (apparently the doctor says that her coming teeth will be straighter and stronger, however i'm pretty sure he's just trying to make me feel better), she hasn't started walking even though we have seen her take lots of steps but she is a happy, speedy crawler and that suits her just fine, she picks out the tops that she wants to wear and she won't wear headbands or anything of the sort, they come off as soon as they go on.
  • She puts her toys away but will move things I've put in the box already to make sure they are where she'd like them. Her 'beebee' (doll) must stay out of the box so that she can get her whenever she wants!
  • She is not a picky eater AT ALL. She LOVES fruits and veggies-broccoli and grapes especially. She also LOVES meat. She signs 'more, more, eat' whenever we have good roast or some chicken around.
  • Lastly, ( I could go on forever)  she is TOTALLY cuddly. She gives the best hugs when she wakes up. She will just put her head into your neck and hold on so tight you could let her go and she'd just hang from you. She also wants to cuddle when Kyle and I are together (she doesn't like to be left out). She LOVES her daddy and when he comes home she has the biggest smile and will just sit quietly with him for ages after he gets home.

ANYWAYS, now that you know I'm obsessed with my girl and have a ton of time to spend with her, let this be a lesson to me to post on here more often so that the public isn't bombarded with an epistle every few months!!!
