welcome to cyber journaling

The only family picture I have at this point is from Halloween! I'll get on that. 

This is a new thing for me-talking about my life to people that I may or may not know through the internet. I have developed a LOVE for reading the blogs of my friends and family and thought (perhaps by a bit of persuasion on their part and/or guilt) that this could be a great way to keep track of the daily (or weekly) comings and goings in our 'slaughter house'. I have tried a personal journal, a family journal, 'time capsules' and Facebook and now maybe it is time I use a blog to help me keep track of my life :) Hopefully this will be a fun thing for us to look back at one day, and not a complete embarrassment! 

We are the Slaughters'. I married into the name (obviously)- I never realized the 'death' aspect of it however, until we were making our wedding invitations and I read aloud 'You are invited to the Byrne (pronounced BURN) and Slaughter Wedding".......yah, it sounded like a lot of death to me too! Anyways, I not only LOVE being a slaughter because it sounds so TOUGH, but also because if you look closely you can find the word sLAUGHTER in there and that perfectly describes an every day occurrence in our home. My hunky husband Kyle, ridiculously gorgeous daughter Indie and moi: Jill will most likely be the regular topic here so if you are interested at all-stick around and hopefully I will remember to post!
